"Spirit cannot be captured but it can be experienced in different ways. The viewer is welcomed by each picture and encouraged to share the experience. What is so interesting is the application of the mental activities of a visual artist to very abstract matters. An artist has to take in perceptions, experience, emotions, attitudes, and many other complex matters. The artist has then to convert all this input into a definite brush stroke and a definite choice of colour or colour mix. What is life? What is the meaning of existence? How should we conduct our lives? As a painter, Anna converts the multiple inputs into definite form and converts the multiple considerations around the subject of life and living into a definite and usable framework."
